At Granite Peaks Church we are conquering mountains one peak at a time! Like Moses who received the 10 commandments on Mount Sanai we are hungry for God's Word to lift us above the scandals of our city and of our world.
Like Elijah on mount Carmel we are zealous to slay the prophets of idolatry and erect a life of commitment and service to the Living God.
Like Jesus who was crucified on Mount Calvary we are committed to dying to the old self and being raised to a new life.
By faith we say to the mountains of addiction and poverty: "be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea." According to Mark 11:22 so our faith rises to the heights of His never ending promises.
Our Story
Granite Peaks Church was founded in the fall of 1986 by Target Ministries, a cohort of three Pastors and their wives in the Westwood community of Denver Colorado. Rev. Mark Lopez and his wife Lucy became the founding Pastors and the church was born. The church began its journey in the old Trujillo funeral home located at Morrison road and Quitman and later moved to a storefront on 8th and Federal before moving into its present building on the corner of 8th & Knox Ct. in the Villa park neighborhood of West Denver.
Our purpose is to make known the love of God through service, worship, prayer and praise.

At the heart of our church is a team of devoted leaders who are passionate about spreading the teachings of God and helping others grow in their faith. Each member brings their unique gifts, experiences, and deep love for Christ to the ministry, ensuring that every aspect of our church is rooted in God’s Word and dedicated to serving the community.
